Welcome to
Team Sandlot Maricopa is the oldest softball club ball team in Maricopa, an organization built by Coach Mike Odell in 2016. This softball program is designed to give an opportunity for girls from all backgrounds to experience the fun and thrill of playing softball at a competitive level! The mission of Team Sandlot here in Maricopa is altogether unique. Our girls learn to work hard and play hard through effort and attitude. While here, they develop not only as softball players but as individuals. We care for these girls and support them as they pursue their dream of playing collegiate softball.
We currently offer two paths for our girls out here in Maricopa, one is competitive and the other is recreational. Our competitive teams practice 3 days a week and compete in two tournaments a month, while recreational teams practice 2 days a week and play in Lady Hawks in Tempe. Lady Hawks has two seasons, one in spring and the other in fall. No matter the direction you choose we have a place for you to play and grow your skill set.
Our 12U competitive team consist of 12 players and 2 alternates. The girls on our competitive team are held accountable on all levels including attendance, respect, listening, comprehension and hustle.
