Coach Cody is the head coach of the 12U Sandlot team here in Maricopa. He comes from a baseball background and played ball till he was 23 years old. He loves coaching softball and has developed an extreme passion for it after he was pushed into coaching his daughter's Little League team. His coaching style meshes well with the girls. He holds them accountable for their actions on the field and off, teaching things like controlling the controllable and next-pitch mentality. As he says to the girls, "What are the #1 things you can control? .... Effort and Attitude." "What's the #1 thing you have no control over?... The Umpires"
